Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to compare self-control with bullying-victim behavior in students with and without learning disabilities.
Methods: This research is a causal-comparative study. The statistical population of this study was all female and men students with learning disorders who were referred to Germi learning disability centers. As the sample, 30 students were selected through the available sampling method, and 30 normal students were randomly selected in a multi-stage cluster of primary school girls and boys in Germi. Tangney Self-Control Questionnaire and Olivious bullying-victim questionnaire were used to collect data. The data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA).
Results:  The results showed that students with learning disabilities were significantly different in self-control and bullying-victim behavior from normal students (P<0.001); consequently, these students have less self-control and more bullying-victim behavior than normal students.
Conclusion: The study results showed that students with learning disabilities have a higher risk of developing behavioral problems (bullying-victimization). Therefore, it is necessary to provide parents and educators with academic programs to prevent the outbreak of behavior disorders and diagnose and treat them on time.
