[English]

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of parental management and self-compassion programs on the self–critical levels of mothers of children with learning disabilities. The research method was experimental with Multi-group pretest-posttest design. The statistical population of the study consisted of all mothers of children with learning disabilities referred to Ardabil special problem learning center in academic year 2018-2019. The sample included 60members of the mentioned community who were randomly assigned in to two groups: parent management training (20 individual), self-compassion training (20 individual) and control group (20 individual). One experimental group received 8 one hour sessions parental management training and one group received 8 seventy minutes sessions compassionates training. Self-critical levels scale was used to collect data. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance and Befroni’s post hoc test using Spss22 software. The results showed that both intervention programs had a significant effect on reducing the self-critical levels of mothers of children with learning disorders (p < 1.01). Bonferroni post hoc test results showed that there was no significant differences between the effectiveness of self-compassion and parental management training on reducing self-critical levels (p < 1.01).Therefore, it can be stated that each of the two therapists possess good practical capabilities for clinical interventions on their critical levels.
